The following accounts highlight just a few of the numerous successful trades that NTA has structured on behalf of clients. Call your account manager broker today to discuss additional opportunities for using trade to achieve maximum impact on your business.

Use Excess Inventory to Expand Marketing Budgets
A high-end luggage manufacturer used trade to promote local retailers in select major markets by trading excess inventory for billboard and consumer media advertising. Through this cooperative ad campaign, the local retailers paid the manufacturer cash for half the advertising cost and the manufacturer financed the remaining costs with excess inventory. This transaction allowed the manufacturer to run a high-impact ad campaign, hold a management meeting at a popular resort in the western U.S., and to purchase employee incentives and gifts.

Boost Sales with Targeted Advertising
A national restaurant chain had under-performing outlets in several major markets. They were able to finance a campaign that included targeted taxi-top advertising and select print ads in those cities by trading gift certificates that could be redeemed at any of their locations throughout the country.

Use Margins to Increase Advertising
A leading manufacturer of designer tableware items advertised their product lines in an upscale national gourmet magazine in exchange for making their products available on trade. Since the advertising cost them significantly less than they would have paid had they used cash, the company was able to maintain profit margins and still reach their target audience.

Fill Empty Rooms by Offering Meeting Space on Trade
Throughout the year many clients approach NTA Trade requesting that we schedule executive, sales or key staff meetings. While the required number of room nights, breakout rooms and food and beverage vary with each event, properties that host meetings achieve significant increases in the trade they have available to spend; they also boost cash revenue through guests' usage of incidentals and other on-site amenities.

Conserve Cash by Trading Product at Full Retail Value
A leading manufacturer of designer eyewear provided NTA Trade with access to its inventory in exchange for the printing of their promotional materials. By getting full retail value for the merchandise, the client preserved capital and saved money by not having to pay cash for the printing they required.

Trade Services for Sales Recognition Rewards
The owner of a mid-sized print shop purchased travel services and employee service awards by printing materials for a nationally-known motivational speaker. In return, the speaker allowed NTA Trade clients to attend seminars and purchase books and tapes on trade.

Fill Empty Pages or Signage
From time to time, a publisher or outdoor billboard company will have space available. Rather than run a "house" ad, they contact NTA Trade to offer the space to approved trade advertisers. As a result, they fill the open space and realize an increase in available trade. The client running the ad reaches an important market segment at a cost that is significantly less than that which would have been paid on a full cash basis.

Target Ads and Build Consumer Traffic
A start-up restaurant chain looking to expand its traffic at new outlets financed an ad campaign that targeted households in affluent communities in select markets by trading gift certificates for use at their locations. These certificates were made available to NTA Trade clients throughout the country, thereby ensuring that redemption would take place at various facilities and that the costs would be shared by numerous outlets, rather than be limited to a few select restaurants.

Purchase Impressive Corporate Gifts
A prominent media company had selected an upscale leather desk accessory item that it wanted to present to 2500 key contacts as a holiday gift. NTA Trade located a source overseas that could produce the item on a full-trade basis. The client's ability to plan ahead and decide exactly what should be produced ensured that the item was available on time and on budget.

Make Necessary Property Improvements and Save Money
A leading timeshare vacation company regularly uses trade to reduce the cash costs of improving properties. Whether it's purchasing in-room clock radios, replacement window treatments or replicating their print and visual sales materials, this company requests that all of its vendors provide quotes that include a barter component.

Create Relationships that Offer Synergy and Reduce Cash Costs
NTA Trade was able to negotiate an ongoing contract with a printer who agreed to complete several million dollars worth of short-run print jobs at a competitive price and with a barter component. The client saved more than $400,000 over the course of the agreement.
