What Is Retail Trade?

Businesses operating under a retail trade model offer the same products and services currently sold in the cash market at up to regular retail prices to other clients in the trade network. Most products and services are traded on a full-barter basis. This model also allows clients to conserve cash and generate new business.

Why Do Retail Trade?

The retail barter system brings products and/or services to completely new markets increasing sales as a result of the new business brought by other clients in the barter system. Savvy traders always look for a barter source before purchasing items and services for cash.

Retail barter allows businesses to maintain full profit margins since most deals are conducted on a retail-to-retail basis. This system also conserves cash because it allows clients to use current inventory or excess time as the method of paying for the goods and services needed by the business. New cash business is also generated by retail barter since satisfied trade customers often make cash referrals.

Clients can use trade credits as payment to participating vendors, as bonuses for key employees, as a means to enhance employee benefit programs, and even as tax deductible donations. The application and benefits of barter within any business are limitless and can be as far-reaching and creative as one's own imagination.

Why Trade through NTA's Retail Division?

NTA Trade's retail division is the largest independent retail network in the country with more than 6,000 clients conducting trades in excess of $50 million per year. Our professional affiliation with other barter companies in other markets expands our total network to about 50,000 businesses.

NTA Trade integrates the resources of its corporate and retail divisions to broaden the services that we offer to our clients. We are the only barter company in the country that has effectively integrated these two models, giving clients a significantly larger number of trade options.

NTA Trade, unlike most retail barter companies, only charges transaction fees to buyers. No fees are assessed to sellers. This approach means that our success and our profit are directly linked to the success of our clients utilizing their trade credits.

NTA Trade has been in the retail barter business for more than 20 years and has built a solid reputation for delivering exceptional and individualized client service. Our commitment to customer satisfaction has enabled us to establish successful long-term relationships with clients in a variety of industries. We are also recognized as the nation's premiere retail barter exchange by our peers within the industry and project significant growth in the years ahead.
